Mini-ITX Cluster Targets Classrooms and Offices

Via has created a reference design for an 8U, 64-processor cluster based on 32 dual-processor mini-ITX boards. The Cluster Server Platform requires only one kilowatt, and can be powered from a standard wall outlet. The company hopes the design will move clusters out of server rooms and into classrooms and offices.
